WHEN SHOULD STUDENTS USE JUST TIMINGS?
Just Timings is designed for students who have mastered the keyboard but need more practice in keying legal material of varing difficulty.

WHY ARE THERE 240 TIMINGS IN JUST TIMINGS?
Students speed and accuracy goals differ widely. By presenting timings of varying difficulty: 80 easy, 80 intermediate, and 80 advanced, students have ample opportunity to key timings appropriate to their goals. So often students become bored keying the same material over and over again. Just Timings gives students 240 choices.

DOES JUST TIMINGS PROVIDE ANY TIPS ON HOW TO DEVELOP KEYING SPEED AND ACCURACY?
Definitely! Tips can be found in the How to Build your Keying Speed & Accuracy section on page x of the text.

CAN JUST TIMINGS BE USED WITH LEGAL KEYS?
Yes, in one of two ways: 

1.    Used in conjunction with Legal Keys: As students complete a Unit of Legal Keys; e.g., Corporate Law, they select the appropriate              difficulty level of Corporate Law timings in Just Timings; 
2.    Used after completing Legal Keys: Students select any timing from Just Timings appropriate to their speed and accuracy 
development goals.

DOES JUST TIMINGS HAVE TO BE USED WITH LEGAL KEYS?
No. Just Timings may also be used as a stand-alone text.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TIMINGS IN LEGAL KEYS AND THOSE IN JUST TIMINGS?

WHY DO MANY OF THE TIMINGS IN JUST TIMINGS CONTAIN SPECIAL CHARACTERS AND ENHANCEMENTS?
Most students entering law-related careers will work initially with junior personnel. For example, in a law firm, students will often prepare memoranda of law for articling students to submit to senior lawyers. This type of work entails keying case and statute citations which contain many special characters such as numbers and parentheses, and special enhancements such as italics, underscores, and bolding. Students need to be able to key legal material with a degree of confidence, and speed, prior to entering the workforce.

WHY DOES JUST TIMINGS NOT PROVIDE AN APP SHOWING WHERE KEYING ERRORS HAVE OCCURRED?
When students are in the workforce they will have to proofread and correct their own keying so giving them practice now ensures that they are better prepared for what is expected of them in the future.

WHY SHOULD STUDENTS BUY JUST TIMINGS?
Many students like to have a text that they can call their own. They may then select timings appropriate to their individual needs and goals. They may also complete the timings either in class or at home.

IS IT OK TO MAKE PHOTOCOPIES THE TIMING RECORD SHEET ON PAGE 241 OF JUST TIMINGS?
