We left Vancouver Island mid-April, headed south to the Oregon coast and into northern California. The coast highway, Hwy 101, was in bad shape so we changed our plan of continuing south along the coast and turned inland towards Nevada.

Returning to California, we drove through Death Valley and into Arizona. We visited the Grand Canyon twice before heading north into southern Utah's canyons (Antelope, Bryce, Zion).

Back into Nevada, we drove west across the "loneliest" road in America, then north to Crater Lake, Oregon, and out to the Oregon coast. After some trailer damage on Hwy 101, we headed to the Black Ball ferry in Port Angeles, WA and a short ferry ride to Victoria. We overnighted with friends in Sooke and arrived back home in Errington just a few days shy of two months since we started this trip.
