The sun rose on our first full morning in Victoria. We couldn't waste the sunshine so after breakfast, we walked/rode towards downtown Victoria and the public library. Here's our route today:

​Tomorrow, rain is forecast. We'll have to wait and see. Perhaps Wednesday will be a plan B day? Join us tomorrow to find out.

Along the Songhees walk, we saw this plaque:
On last evening's walk, we noticed a couple of small sandy beaches. Guess what we saw this morning.
Just around the bend we heard a tapping noise. Hmmm, didn't see anything but wait...look up there!

At the city end of the Walkway is the new Johnson Street drawbridge. Pretty fancy bridge that opens to allow ship traffic into the Upper Harbour.
You can certainly see that Spring is in the air in Victoria.
We finished our walking tour with a mini-ocean cruise. Okay, it was on one of the little Harbour Ferries that play among the big boats and float planes in the Inner Harbour. After all the walking I had done, I was ready for a sit-down.
Victoria has certainly expanded in recent years. Just look at the humanity lining the shore.
