This afternoon we visited Saxe Point park. We had not been to this park before. The wind was cold and very strong, but we braved a walk around the park.

Sunday April 14                                               Cloudy, cool & WINDY                                         Victoria, BC
Looking across a small bay, houses are built close to the water, right on the rocks!

Leaving my sweetheart behind, I walked down the steps to a rocky beach.
Someone is watching.
We continued our walk along the gravel path and soon ended up at the road.

We circled back to where we had parked Alfie and continued to the water's edge. Boy that wind is strong.
On the way to the lookout (below) was a large rock with this plaque.
Well, that's it for our last day in Victoria.

Tomorrow we enjoy an ocean cruise to the lower mainland and a drive to the Chilliwack area where we'll be staying for one week. We'll be visiting/lunching/dining with old friends and neighbours from our Maple Ridge days. Some we haven't seen since we left BC in 2009 when we headed east to Nova Scotia. We're looking forward to catching up.
