Tuesday Jun 11                                               Sunny, warm, & windy                                           Creston, BC
The first order of business this morning was a visit to the Tourist Bureau. I was particularly interested in the bike trails in and around the area. Unfortunately Creston doesn't have any "rails to trails"; all the recommended bike routes are on the side of the main highways and residential roads. Boo hoo! I'll have to see what I can find.

When we left the Tourist Bureau we headed to the Golden Flour Bakery in downtown Creston.

I didn't take a picture of my Cinnamon bun but I did notice this small sign on the counter.
This afternoon I visited the Columbia Brewery and took the tour - $3 for seniors. I'm not a fan of large factory beer, but I thought seeing how it is made would be interesting. Unfortunately Columbia's website is non-existent, but TripAdvisor has a few pictures which you can view here.

I didn't know Columbia made Kokanee Gold. I tried a small sample at the end of the tour. The colour was a nice light amber colour, but the taste was "thin". Pour me a craft beer anytime.

Just before supper, Jen suggested we visit the library, just around the corner from Scottie's. On the way there, and back, we walked past this display of roses.
Well, that's about it for today. Join us tomorrow to see what we get up to. See you then.
