Friday Jun 21                                        Sunny, cloudy & warmish                                                Creston, BC
Just after noon today, we drove east through Erickson to the Canyon-Lister Road. We turned south and just a few hundred metres down the road, we came to the Goat River crossing. We walked down under the highway bridge to the edge of the river some metres below but really couldn't see much.
This area is modelled on the Creston Museum's model railroad. I thought it would be interesting to come and see it.

As I didn't fancy falling into the rushing water, I thought the highway bridge might offer a better view.
And it did!
We continued south and when we got to Hwy 21, I suggested to Jen that we turn south and head to the US border crossing, just to say we'd been there. I'd previously checked Google Maps and knew that there really wasn't anything there, other than the Canadian and US border facilities. So off we went. Yup, when we arrived at the border, there were the Canadian customs and in the distance its American cousin. I didn't take any pictures as I didn't fancy being swarmed by the FBI asking why I was taking pictures of their border facilities.

We turned around and headed back to Creston. A visit to Creston Card & Stationery replenished our toner supply. Boy were we surprised when we walked into this store. They had EVERYTHING - art supplies, yarn, knitting, office supplies, toner, etc. And downstairs, TOYS!! We were amazed at the stuff they had...in a little place like Creston.

After that, we headed back to Scottie's and called it a day.
