Tuesday May 28                                               Sunny & warm                                        Lost Ledge Site, BC
Yesterday morning, Jen & I walked into Kaslo. I took this picture up the lake.
During our last evening in Kaslo, we walked to the library (in the basement of City Hall) to drop off a couple of books Jen had borrowed. Kaslo is an old town as you can see by these photos.

After our visit the other day to the Lost Ledge Site of Kootenay Lake Provincial Park, I suggested to Jen and separately to Garnett that I thought we should camp there for a couple of days. We are in no rush to get to Cranbrook and the park looked so lovely; it would be a shame not to.

So this morning, after over a week in and around Kaslo, it was time to move on.

After a 15 mile drive, we arrived at Lost Ledge. The park operator, Mark, was there working. We chose a double site in the sunshine, paid for 3 nights (it was too nice not to stay an extra day!), and settled in.

Jen & I walked around the 14-site park in the afternoon. It is indeed a pretty spot. Below, that's Mount Hamill (10,500') on the left.

That's it for today. Join us tomorrow.
