Thursday Jul 1 1 - Saturday Jul 13                    Sunny & hot                                                    Castlegar, BC
We haven't done much in the last few days other than relax and read. But I thought I should put something on the blog to catch you up and let you know we have not disappeared off the face of the earth.

Thursday morning Jen suggested going to a local pub for lunch. We drove a short distance to the Lionshead Smoke and Brew Pub. The food was good but we were disappointed in the measly selection of craft beer - namely one from Naramata in the Okanagan Valley.
Friday we headed up the highway to Nelson. Jen had forgotten some beading supplies she needed so off we headed in the sunshine.

We visited 2 RV parks on Hwy 6 heading south towards Salmo. Both were very close to the highway (on an upgrade) and neither looked particularly appealing. It's a shame 'cause an RV park like Kootenay River in Castlegar would literally clean up. Nelson is such a vibrant "happening" place.

We did the chores then stopped at Ward's Coffee for a coffee and a treat. As we sat outside we marvelled at the old architecture of Nelson. We'd love to spend some more time here. I think we will return.
Just so this entry is not a total waste of your time, here's the front of a t-shirt we saw in a store in Nelson.

See you next time.
