Monday Aug 12                                                   Sunny & warm                                            Grand Forks, BC
Last evening Andrew and Cheryl treated us to cheese & crackers and Guiness! Wow, what a treat!

We sat out on their deck at their site but as the sun went down behind the hills, we darn near froze. What a change in the weather. This evening was, as Andrew suggested, just like a Fall evening. It was cool!

I asked Cheryl for their email address. Andrew suggested I send him
an email right away so he could put us in their Contacts. I did and
received this reply: "Who the f..... are you lol." We shared a good laugh.

We left this morning for the muni park in Grand Forks. Hwy 3 from
Castlegar to Grand Forks is a long grind up to Paulson Summit (just
over 20 miles to the top), then a long glide down to Grand Forks. Alfie
made it with no trouble.
We checked into the park and set up in our reserved site. It's mostly a gravel site with one large tree on the side which gives us some nice shade in the afternoon and evening. We stayed here last summer not long after the major flood.
The nice thing about this park is it is a short walk into downtown Grand Forks. We walked to Save-On foods to pick up a few things. I noticed this "new" item and checked the list of ingredients.
Okay, I'm pretty sure we won't be trying the above anytime soon.

There are tons of these visitors around the park.

We leave Friday morning. If we do anything exciting I will update the blog.

In the meantime, watch for us in Midway, BC this weekend.
