Friday August 14 - Thursday August 27                                                                                    Dunsmuir, BC
This is our first stay at Pineridge Farm & RV Park. We have visited the farm in years past, but never stayed at the RV park. We're about to change that.
We thought this sign, posted at the entrance to the farm, said it all.

Continue along the road past the farm store and you find the RV park. We lucked
out and were assigned site #4 on the upper level. Our site is a very large, back-in
site with the forest behind us.

The lower level is mostly gravel sites with not much vegetation between the sites.
Saturday we decided to take our coffee and our books and head to the beachfront in Qualicum Beach. We spent a delightful few hours reading and watching the views.
All kidding aside, Pogo is a normal donkey with four legs. I did not "doctor" the photo above; that was just the way I captured the picture - only one leg showing, not even a hint of any other legs.

Last Monday (17th), Alfie reached another
milestone.

Tuesday we headed for Parksville to attend
to some chores. It was a lovely day so we
walked the boardwalk.

There were lots of people on the beach. I took
this picture but it is hard to see them all.
And look what we found when we explored our site - a hidden clearing in the trees!
This has been a really nice spot to spend the afternoon when the sun's been overhead  and the temperature has climbed.

As you might expect, Pineridge Farm has animals. We've seen a black stallion and a couple of donkeys. We were blown away when we saw this guy. The owner, Paul, said his name is Pogo. Apparently he is quite friendly with the many bunnies around the farm. His sidekick in the background, Whitey, is wondering what all the fuss is about - "He seems normal to me."
We have another week at Pineridge. If we get up to anything exciting, I will update the blog.
