June 04 - Pinnacles Provincial Park
Insert text here.
Today we drove over to West Quesnel, across the mighty Fraser River. The original bridge is the world's longest wooden Howe truss bridge! It used to be the only way to cross the Fraser until the new 2-lane road bridge was built. It is now a pedestrian walkway.
The pinnacles or hoodoos are quite spectacular!

After our hike, we drove back to West Quesnel, did some grocery shopping, and returned to the campsite for the rest of the day.

After quite a climb up Baker Road, we arrived at Pinnacles Provincial Park. I wish our GPS had an elevation feature - it would have been nice to know how far up we had come!

All three of us headed along the 1km trail. At one point we ran into a Park Operator who suggested that the remainder of the trail was not suited for a wheelchair. Jen and Mattie returned to the van while I ventured forward.

From this picture you can see that we have gained some elevation! (Quesnel is just over the ridge.)
