Apr 4 - Back to Errington, BC
After a month at Oceanside RV Park in Sidney, it was time to head north to Errington. We really enjoyed our stay – Oceanside is a very nice RV park.

Before we left I took a picture of the wood carving at the entrance to Oceanside:
We purchased our BC Ferries tickets at Thrifty foods (for ½ the price that BCF charges on the ferry!) and headed to Brentwood Bay for the 9:50 ferry to Mill Bay.

On the other side, we stopped at Chemainus for a coffee – the town has dedicated RV parking which is really nice. Chemainus is the "mural" town – after the mill closed, the residents got together and invited artists to paint murals on buildings around town. You have to actually see this one, across from the coffee shop on the main street. The gentleman's steely-blue eyes follow you eerily as you walk past:
After a leisurely coffee and tea, we hopped back into Alfie and continued our journey north. We arrived at Frank and Betty's early afternoon and set up camp.

Betty and Frank treated us to dinner at Amrikko's Indian restaurant in Parksville. A lovely treat!

I'll be working on finishing the few outstanding items on Ali so I'll be back to you when something exciting happens – like when we hit the road and start heading east.

Til then….
