Jul 17 - Canadian Tire in Montague, PEI
We've decided to try for the 5 a.m. ferry tomorrow morning. If we don't get on (can't reserve RVs because there is only one ferry operating), we'll wait for the 9:30 one. If we don't get on that, we'll head for the bridge.

See you in Nova Scotia one way or the other.

Today is a rest day. Don't have to go anywhere so we decided to drive to Montague and the Canadian Tire store.

We arrived in Montague and gassed up – 96.9!! Love it! Then we went looking for the Canadian Tire store. Guess what. There ain't one! Hmmmmm, I'm sure I'd seen one on the way in the other day. Damn, old age is a b****!!

We parked Alfie and noticed a biker "convention" on the other side of the harbour.

Just to give you a lay of the land, you can see the museum building across the river.
Back in Alfie, we drove the coastal route back to the campground. But we just couldn't pass up the opportunity to see one more (and hopefully last) lighthouse.
We strolled through the 1st Annual Show and Shine in aid of the Boys and Girls Club in Montague. As we walked through the many Harleys, Yamahas, etc., we were set upon by Nadine. She asked where we were from and I said we were local. "No you aren't. I've lived here for years and I don't recognize you." Ok, we fessed up and told Nadine we were from BC, but that we had lived in Nova Scotia for 5 years. She said: "Oh yes where everyone wants to know who you are, where you're from, what your mother's name is, not that I know her, I just want to know her name……" What a laugh we had. Such a nice lady.

We walked up the Centennial Trail a short distance to some sign posts.

Can you see the bird statues?
We strolled over the bridge to take a look.
