Jul 20 - Gotta Love GMC Motorhomes!
Today we have a short drive to our friends Mike and Lorraine just east of Antigonish. A few years back Mike bought my old Pace American trailer that I used during my home renovation "career".

Mike has an GMC motorhome (right…..I forgot the picture), one of the 12,000 that were made by GMC between 1973 and 1978. Here's Dan Winchester's with Mount Rainier in the background.
We had an absolutely delightful visit with these guys. Thanks for dinner and the 6-pack of home brew! We'll see you on the road someday soon!

Tomorrow we head for Halifax and Woodhaven RV Park. We've stayed here before, when we left Nova Scotia to return to beautiful BC back in 2014.

We'll be in Halifax for a week so I'll get back to you when we do something exciting. We're just going to play tourist, something that was a tad difficult to do when we had Mattie in tow.

Later.

If you remember the old Bill Murray movie "Stripes", a GMC was the "Urban Assault Vehicle" in the movie.

Mike and Lorraine tow their two Kawasaki motorcycles in the trailer.
Lorraine and her friend Susan are building their own kayaks from kits. The kits had all the parts cut; it was just a matter of putting the pieces together. BUT, neither of them had any experience doing this. They are still working on the two kayaks. Here's Lorraine's. I think they are both doing a superb job!
