Aug 26 - Historic Frankfort, KY
This morning we decided to do a little tour of downtown
Frankfort, the capital city of Kentucky. The first thing I noticed
was the 4-way stop in downtown! We parked Alfie and headed
out on foot.
Boy, it is hot and muggy again today. We headed back to Alfie and drove to the Capitol building and its floral clock.
Yep, that's a rail line running right down W. Broadway St., right in front of the Old State Capitol....
That's it for today. Just too darn hot and humid to do anything more. We could have visited one of the two distilleries in town - Jim Bean & Buffalo Trace - but we didn't.

Back at the campground, we relaxed for the rest of the day. Tomorrow we leave for St Louis, MO area. We'll see you there.
The view of the Capitol building from the Executive Mansion.
On the way back to the campground, we slid by the Kentucky Vietnam Memorial.
