Monday May 17                                               Cloudy, cool, & rainy                                                 Kaslo, BC
Today we have a short drive to Woodbury RV Resort just 10 miles south of Kaslo. We're not sure at what time we can check in, but we have to leave Kokanee Creek Provincial Park before 11 a.m.

I talked with Garnett before we left and said that I would keep in touch by text.

Jen & I pulled out of Kokanee Creek just before 10 a.m. On the drive north we
came across a steep downhill grade where the highway headed inland, just like
when we drove Hwy 101 in northern California. Yup, sure enough, at the bottom
of the grade was a rushing river.

We stopped at the layby (a short distance from the camper in the picture, made
a cup of coffee, and watched the rushing water.

After coffee, we got back on the road and very quickly came to our stopping
place: Woodbury RV Park. As we were way too early to check in, I texted Garnett
and told him we were going on to Kaslo to check the place out.
As I was in the process of texting Garnett to tell him where we were, he appeared at my driver's door window.

We walked along the waterfront passing by the Tourist Bureau, a nice old CP wood caboose, and the SS Moyie.

After a coffee and muffin at Teresa's on Front Street, we drove back to Woodbury RV Resort, checked in, and set up camp.

The big Show & Shine car show is on Sunday, so tomorrow we are going to visit Kaslo again, go for a walk, and try and find Fletcher Falls on the way back.

See you then.
