Saturday May 18                                            Cool & cloudy                                                            Kaslo, BC
Jen and I drove into Kaslo this morning, parked Alfie and walked the path around the park. Part of the weekend's festivities were happening here, namely the chain saw carving and logging exhibitions.

We walked through the park, by the many food vendors, and past the bandstand.
We got back into downtown and went looking for a coffee. We strolled into the Bluebelle Café on Front Street.

On the way back to Alfie we walked by this display.

On the way back to Woodbury, we pulled off the highway at the sign
for Fletcher Falls. Well, at the end of the road, we turned around and
drove back to the main highway. Oh there is the trail to the falls
marked by a wood post with a single yellow arrow! No wonder we
were told the Falls were hard to find!

We walked down the marked path and I continued down to where
I took this picture.

The trail continued on but I didn't. Notice the wooden platform (in red circle). I believe that is where you get to if you continue along the trail.

So that's it for today.

We are looking forward to the Show & Shine tomorrow. That should be fun.

See you then.
