Thursday Jul 25                                                 Pleasant & light breeze                                          Trail, BC
Today, after coffee, we headed to the library. We walked the streets of downtown Trail in the sunshine. It was lovely with a slight cooling breeze. We happened upon the Trail Pastry Shop where we bought a couple of goodies then sat on the bench outside to enjoy our tasty treats.

We found the Trail Cenotaph and looked at the names of the fallen from Trail.

Back at Alfie, I suggested to Jen that we explore the hillside
community of West Trail. The houses look awfully close
together both horizontally and especially vertically.
When I visited Teck yesterday, the tour guide, Ben, mentioned that the residential area north of the facility called Tadanac was where management lived. Today it appears to be an upscale residential area.
Of course, some of Teck's raw materials come in by train, so this was interesting to see - essentially the end of the line.
We enjoyed our short driving tour of West Trail and Tadanac. Sure looks pretty now, although West Trail was kinda scary - to drive along a one-way street looking down on the roofs of the houses below the road. Sure must be exciting in winter!
