Wednesday Aug 28                                                    Sunny & hot                                                   Hope, BC
Today, after returning to The Packing House café for early morning coffee and to check our email, we ventured south on
Hwy 1 towards Hope, BC.

Here are some of the pictures Jen took along the way. One thing that really stood out today was how clear the sky was. In some photos, it looks like it was painted in...
At Lytton, we turned south and now looked out on the mighty muddy Fraser River. The climb up and over Jackass Mountain was next.

We stopped in Boston Bar for gas and lunch.

We arrived at Telte-Yet campground in downtown Hope, right on the Fraser River. We've stayed here before. While the campground is a little rough around the edges, we like the fact that we can walk into town. The RV park is a short distance west of Hope, where we have stayed before, are a ways out. Everywhere we needed to go, we had to drive. It's nice not to have to drive everywhere.

We're here for a week. We're meeting our good friends Barry and Lynne tomorrow for lunch as they head home to Flin Flon, MB. This weekend, our girlfriend, Donna, is visiting for a couple of days, and next week we're having lunch with our old Maple Ridge neighbours Anne and Walter at their place in Chilliwack.

If anything exciting happens, I'll update the blog.

In the meantime, we'll see you on Sep 4 when we take BC Ferries to the Sunshine Coast.
