Wednesday Sep 4 - Wednesday Sep 11                                                                                        Gibsons, BC
We drove the few miles into Gibsons. The new 4-lane highway from the ferry terminal climbs an 8% grade up to where the newer shops and businesses are located.

The "old" road – Marine Drive – skirts the coast and brings you into the waterfront
area of Gibsons.

Once on the waterfront, the only way is up. Did you notice the gradient??   21%!!!

One of Gibsons claims to fame was the CBC series The Beachcombers which aired
from 1972-1990 starring Bruno Gerussi.

A walk around the harbour...
A live display in the Gibsons Public Market...
And of course we visited a few coffee shops during the week...
There are a few breweries around. We made it to this one...
In an excellent guide book, Jen found a handicap walk to a waterfall so we just had to go check it out...
On the way back to Alfie, we noticed a couple of signs...
Well, those are some of the highlights of our week in and around Gibsons.

Join us next week when we move to Sechelt, 30 km up the Sunshine Coast.
