Apr/May 2020                                                                                                                              Ali Refurb
We'd been full-timing in Ali for 3½ years so it was time to think about giving Ali a "do-over" - new interior paint and a couple of minor modifications.

Here are some before and after pictures of the process.

Our bathroom had three things that bugged me: 1. the sharp corner behind the tap; 2. the ugly plastic tile, and 3. the plug sticking out from the wall.
First order of business was to get rid of the plug and then the ugly tile.
You don't want to look too closely, but from a distance the improvement is very nice.

The final improvement was to Ali's wheels. Over 4+ years, especially being close to the ocean over the last three winters, Ali's nuts were looking a little worse for wear. (Sorry I did not mean to offend).

I purchased some new ones and swapped the old ones out just before we left for the summer.

That pretty much finished the refurbishment of Ali.

Alfie needed a bit of work too. Like most GMC and Chev white vans, the paint peels off over time.  Alfie was not immune. I stripped off most of the loose flakey paint and then rolled on some new paint.
Now it was time to paint. I painted all of the cabinet doors and drawers, then I painted the walls and ceiling throughout.
Some of the same tile as in the bathroom smartened up the look of the kitchen.
Next up was the kitchen. The plastic tile had to go!
With the addition of an angled piece of wood, a re-located plug (GFCI of course), and some more attractive stone tile, properly trimmed out, we were pleased with the finished result.
