Jul 31 - Heading "Home" to Conquerall Bank, NS
We're here for 4 days then we drive to Digby and catch the ferry to St. John, NB.

We've chatted with many of the old neighbours - nice to see them all - and are looking forward to seeing Bob & Wendy on Aug 2.

Well, there was a bit more to the story of Camper's Haven
campground inYarmouth yesterday. Seems they were celebrating
Christmas in July!!

The first thought that came to mind? "Give me a break!!" I mean,
well, don't get me started. I can think of all the obvious things
to rant about, but seriously, is this for real??!!
We arrived in Conquerall Bank about 3:30 and set up camp on Tom & Ellie's side yard.

After a lovely dinner, thank you Ellie, we went across the road to watch the sun set.
We decided to take a break and drive through Shelburne and its historic waterfront. Unfortunately we forgot that it was one-way only along the waterfront and we came in about midway.
We hadn't ever driven Hwy 3 from Yarmouth to Barrington and as you can see the weather cooperated. There were lots of little islands scattered about in the ocean.
Fortunately the carols did not last too long. I think someone must have asked them to turn the volume down. We just couldn't believe the activity around "Christmas in July." I think Yarmouth is just a little too far off the beaten track!

On a lighter note, today we head for our old stomping grounds in Conquerall Bank. We are both looking forward to seeing our old neighbours, Tom & Ellie, as well as the rest of the neighbours along Shore Drive, AND the kids too!

We drove the old highway (Hwy 3) along the coast through the Pubnicos until we got to Barrington. We found a wharf to stop and have a coffee.
Complete with Christmas carols!
