Aug 5 - Two Ferry Rides in One Day
We left our good neighbours, Tom & Ellie, early this morning
and headed across the province to Digby and the ferry to St John.
Traffic was light and the weather was fine. We arrived at the
terminal just around 9:15 a.m.

The "new" Fundy Rose has been in service for just over a year.
It is much nicer than the ferry it replaced - like BC Ferries back in the '70s - small, limited capacity, etc.

Here it is arriving in Digby.

We arrived in St. John and programmed the GPS for our final destination: Hardings Point RV Park. The park is about
½ hour from St. John, up the St John river.

We drove onto the free provincial ferry across river. This took all of 5 minutes.

We checked into the park and set up camp at Site 8, a nice treed spot.

That's about it for today. We're here for the weekend. We leave Monday morning for Bar Harbor, Maine.

See you there.

Looking back at probably the last time we will see Nova Scotia.
Onboard it is very nicely fitted out.
